Zurich on foot: the Old Town and Lindenhof

An idea for a half-day outing

Allow around three to four hours for this suggested visit from your agreed meeting point in Zurich, plus the journeys there and back. Start with the lanes of Niederdorf and take a break wherever you choose. Then cross the Limmat to the other side of the Old Town and walk uphill to Lindenhof for views across the river and historic rooftops. Keeping the number of stops small leaves time for photos and discoveries of your own.

Agree walking needs and a meeting point

The walk and the chauffeur transfer are separate parts of your day. Niederdorf is a pedestrian zone, so pickup directly beside every sight cannot be promised. Agree a suitable meeting point and a return window. Tell us if you need shorter walks, space for a stroller or a route with as few steps as possible; Lindenhof is only partly wheelchair accessible.

Details to share when planning

Provide your date, start and end points in Zurich, group size and preferred walking time. If arriving that day, plan the visit after immigration and baggage collection; before an onward flight, include a generous return buffer. Three to four hours is our planning suggestion, not a guaranteed journey time. Guided tours, admissions, meals and waiting time are included only when expressly confirmed in your individual quotation.
